At Lee & Garasia, LLC, we are proud to announce the J.D. Garasia Scholarship, a $1000 award designed to support high school students who are passionate about pursuing a career in law. As part of our firm’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and education, this scholarship encourages young people to reflect on how immigration has shaped their lives, families, or communities. Through this opportunity, we invite students to reflect on how immigration has shaped their own journey and deepened their understanding of community.
The Scholarship honors the memory of partner Angie Garasia’s father, a devoted and hardworking family man who immigrated to the United States from India in 1978. His boundless ambition, strong work ethic, and deep respect for education fueled his determination to create better opportunities for his three children. Through this scholarship, J.D. Garasia’s legacy lives on, supporting others in their pursuit of academic excellence.
The J.D. Garasia scholarship is intended to recognize students who demonstrate insight, empathy, and interest in the legal field. Applicants are invited to submit an original essay that addresses how immigration has positively affected their family, community, and society overall.
This initiative reflects our belief that investing in education and future leaders is one of the most meaningful ways to give back to the community we serve.
